Terms of Service

These Terms of Service are the agreement between you and ZenQuill Inc. ("Earned", "we", "us") for the Earned app, website, and related services. When you create an account, tap to agree, or use Earned in any way, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Earned.

We may add product-specific terms for certain features (like Teams). If those ever conflict with this document, the feature-specific terms win for that feature.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Earned. If you are under the age your local law sets for online consent, you need a parent or guardian to agree on your behalf. By using Earned you confirm you meet these requirements and that the information you give us is accurate.

If you use Earned for a team, school, or organization, you confirm you have the authority to accept these terms for that group.

Keep your login credentials safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so use a strong password and do not share it. Tell us at info@zenquill.ai if you think someone else got in.

One person, one account. Do not impersonate someone else or create accounts to get around a suspension.

The whole point of Earned is honesty. So here are the hard lines:

• Do not fake or game habit verification. No spoofing your Apple Watch or Apple Health data, no borrowed check-ins, no scripts or bots, no staged photos. Faking a habit defeats the entire app and it is grounds for removal.
• No harassment, bullying, hate, threats, or doxxing in accountability rooms or anywhere else. Anonymous does not mean cruel.
• No illegal content, no content that sexualizes minors, no spam, no malware, and nothing you do not have the rights to share.
• Do not scrape, reverse engineer, overload, or try to break the service or other people's privacy.

We can remove content or accounts that break these rules. For the most serious cases we may report to the proper authorities.

Earned runs on a simple mechanic: posting is locked until you complete a real habit, verify it, and earn one post pass. One habit, one pass, one post. No habit, no post.

Verification is best effort, not perfect. We use signals like Apple Watch and Apple Health, with more wearables on the way, plus quick photo or POV check-ins. No system catches every fake, and a verified badge is not a guarantee that a habit happened exactly as shown. We may adjust how verification works, and we may revoke passes or posts we believe were earned dishonestly.

You own what you post. We do not claim ownership of your posts, photos, journal entries, or messages.

To run the app, you give Earned a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and show your content back to you and to the people you share it with inside Earned. This license exists only so the service works. It ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we are required to keep by law or that other users already saved.

You are responsible for what you post and you confirm you have the right to post it. Your private journal entries stay private by default. You choose what becomes a post.

Earned is free to start. Pro is $7.99 per month and adds the AI coach with every lens, plan-tomorrow, and full history. Teams is billed per seat. There are no ads on any plan, and you can cancel anytime.

You can subscribe through Apple In-App Purchase or through Stripe on the web. Paid plans auto-renew at the then-current price until you cancel. Cancel an Apple subscription in your iPhone Settings under your name, then Subscriptions. Cancel a web subscription from your account page. When you cancel, you keep Pro until the end of the period you already paid for.

Purchases made through Apple are subject to Apple's terms, and any refunds for those are handled by Apple under Apple's policy. We can change prices, but we will give you notice before a change affects a renewal.

The AI coach, its lenses, and any plans or schedules it drafts are for general guidance and motivation only. The lens labels (like Atomic Habits, Stoic, CEO, Faith, and Data) describe a coaching style. They do not imply any affiliation with, or endorsement by, any book, author, or brand.

The coach is not medical, mental-health, legal, or financial advice, and it is not a substitute for a professional. Do not rely on it for those decisions. If you are in crisis, contact a local emergency line or a qualified professional. AI can be wrong, so use your own judgment.

With your permission, Earned reads data like activity and workouts from Apple Watch and Apple Health to verify habits and personalize coaching. We handle that data as described in our Privacy Policy. You can turn off these permissions in your device settings at any time, though some features need them to work.

You can stop using Earned and delete your account at any time from Profile, then settings. We can suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if we have to for legal or security reasons, or if we retire the service.

If your account ends, the parts of these terms that should survive (like content licenses already granted to others, disclaimers, and limits on liability) stay in effect.

Earned is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or perfectly accurate, including verification results.

To the extent permitted by law, ZenQuill Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to Earned is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or one hundred US dollars. Some places do not allow certain limits, so parts of this may not apply to you.

These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled in the courts located in [JURISDICTION], unless your local consumer law gives you other rights that cannot be waived.

We may update these terms as Earned grows. When we make a meaningful change, we will update the date below and, when it matters, give you a heads-up in the app. If you keep using Earned after a change takes effect, that counts as accepting the new terms.
